Why MetalQuest?
MetalQuest Unlimited is an unrivaled, full-service contract machine shop. This means we are your one-stop shop for even your most complex projects, and our engineers are here to help. We handle low- and high-volume parts, part families, and assemblies. From each individual component to the full assembly, we deliver your high-quality products to your door.
CNC Capabilities
Take a look at our detailed machine listing!
CNC Milling
Our vertical and horizontal mills with high pressure coolant are perfect for parts with compound angles or multiple faces. These machines have a pallet with fixturing to hold the part in place while it is machined. These fixtures can handle multiple different or like parts at the same time. Perfect for:
• Electrical housings, transmissions, valve blocks, and other castings
• Tight tolerance bosses, pockets, profiles, and slots
• Critical geometries on sealing faces
• Parallelism, perpendicularity, and profile callouts
Ask our team about custom fixturing or dedicated robot cells!

CNC Multitasking
Our multitasking machines use a combination of turning, milling, and drilling to make your part without the need for multiple machining steps. This increases the cycle time and repeatability and eliminates the need for multiple setups and tool changeovers. Designed for:
• Clamp bodies, defense parts, tube fittings, and valve components
• Complex parts with holes at different angles
• Parts that need turning as well as slots and pockets

CNC Turning
Our CNC lathe department supports Swiss-style, dual spindle and live-tooling machines. To maximize repeatability and minimize handling, we have 12’ bar feeders, gantry and robot loading cells, and build-in gantry loaders and unloaders. Ideal for:
• Bushings, flanges, sleeves, and shafts
• Parts with cross-holes, threads, or secondary flats
• Tight concentricity and true-position callouts
Ask about our multi-spindle lathes that can make parts in seconds!

When we quote a project, we take a good, long look at anything that can improve your product. We will help source raw material and suggest alternatives for the use case. We recommend design updates to make the part more machinable. We’ll coordinate with outsource vendors and drop ship directly to you. Our machining focuses on quality, cycle time, and repeatability; this means that you get a good part, and we get a sustainable process.
We love to see 3D models (.SLDPRT, .STEP, or .IGES files) so we can quote the geometry of the actual part instead of the print. Send an inquiry to our quote team!

We’re On Another Level

Sourcing Material and Hardware
You handle the design; we’ll take care of sourcing the raw material and small components like screws and springs.

Finish and Marking
Appearances are everything. We can mark your part numbers or logos, leave a beautiful surface finish, and outsource plating and anodizing.

Robotic Workforce
Automatic loading and unloading? Unattended runs? We have in-house engineers to design custom applications to make machining your parts easier.

Custom Tooling and Fixturing
To make machining simpler, our engineers design tooling and workholding devices to make the machining process as efficient as possible.

Inventory and Outsource Management
When you work with us, you aren’t just getting a machinist, you’re getting a partner. We will help you manage inventory levels with custom hardware and software. If your part is an assembly, we can make or source the components. If it needs to be anodized, coated, plated, etc., we have trusted outsource vendors one phone call away. Outsourcing your manufacturing doesn’t mean lowering your standards. It means raising your expectations.
